Evaluation of Alberobello

In December 2024 I decided to visit Alberobello where I spent a night in a typical trullo. Of course, the trulli are beautiful and the town center is really well taken care of, with so many small details that make it a perfect place to spend a few nights. However, I must say that beyond the trulli and a short walk in the center, there isn't much else to see, and in the evening there isn't much to do.

Finally, I think the place is a bit overrated, not because it is not beautiful but because it is very small. To truly enjoy it, you need to explore the surrounding areas by car; in fact, I would never recommend visiting only on foot. There is very little to do in town itself, and to admire the real beauties of Puglia you need to drive around quite a lot.

The most beautiful and ancient trulli are actually located outside the city, often in the middle of the countryside, which makes them even more fascinating and authentic.
