Evaluation of Rome

I don't know how many times I've been to Rome in my life, I've lost count, but I know that Rome is never too much because every time I go back it always manages to make me discover something new, a feeling, a corner never seen, a different light on something I thought I already knew.
When I went there the first few times I still didn't have a YouTube channel or a good camera, so many memories remained only in my head, but maybe it was good because Rome is a city to really live, not just to be photographed.
One thing I have always appreciated is how intuitive it is to turn around; the metro is well organized and the stops take you exactly where you want to go, with names that coincide with the places to visit, such as Colosseum, Spain, Ottaviano, Barberini etc. so even those who arrive for the first time can move without too much thought.
Rome is culture, good food, beauty, history, but also chaos, energy and spontaneity; it is a city that manages to adapt to those who visit it, whether you are looking for art, nightlife or just a place to walk for hours without a precise destination.
Evenings along the Tiber are one of my favorite moments especially in summer when the riverfront is filled with events, live music and an incredible amount of people enjoying the city in a simple and authentic way, maybe sitting on a bench with a glass of wine.
The historic center is an open-air museum, from the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain, from Piazza Venezia to Via del Corso to Piazza di Spagna; everything is close and is always full of people who mingle between tourists and Romans, every corner looks like a film set that does not need filters.
Inside Rome there is also a state, the Vatican, which is definitely worth a visit, with its museums, the Sistine Chapel and the unique atmosphere that is breathed between spirituality and artistic wonder; a place that remains imprinted even if you are not particularly religious.
If you want to get out of the most touristy routes, you can go to CinecittΓ and visit the historic studios of Italian cinema, they tell another side of the city, less known but interesting; nearby you will also find a large shopping center perfect for a break.
Summer in Rome can be hard because of the heat, so much so that many Romans move to the sea, especially in Ostia, where there are establishments, free beaches and the famous gates, numbered accesses to the beaches that in some days seem endless; among these there is also one of the most famous naturist beaches in Italy, however I did not have the opportunity to visit it.
Rome is a city that enters you slowly but deeply; no matter how many times you've been there, when you leave you miss it and when you go back you feel like you've never really left.
In 2021 I visited the capital for a good cause, the event for travel agents and tourism operators, someone will remember the old history of Covid and refreshments, right? In any case, I invite you to read the dedicated article.
